RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Sept. 24)—The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California (Eastern Division) has moved the date for hearing Bridgestone/Firestone's motion to dismiss a class action suit to Oct. 28. BFS and its parent, Bridgestone Corp., said the class action brought on behalf of owners of Firestone Steeltex tires fails to state any remediable claims, an assertion disputed by Joseph Lisoni, the leader of the attorneys who filed the suit. "We have a 270-page brief in rebuttal of this charge," Lisoni said.
