AKRON (Sept. 11)—InfoGlyph Inc. has expanded into the automotive market, the company disclosed at the International Tire Exhibition and Conference in Akron, where it is exhibiting. The firm´s direct parts marking operation has come out with what it claims is more viable tire tracking technology that has drawn the interest of at least one tire maker. The company, a softwear developer specializing in digital two-dimensional technology for the direct parts marking industry, recently created a Global Automotive Technical Research Division, based at its Brighton, Mich., facility, and named Patrick J. McGowan vice president of the unit. Prior to the new division launch, InfoGlyph focused on the aviation industry.
