WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Aug. 23)—The families of 12 women from Buckburnett, Texas are suing Michelin North America Inc., several of its subsidiaries and DaimlerChrysler Corp. over a May 2001 crash that killed four of the women and disabled the other eight. The Dodge Ram church bus equipped with Michelin-made tires was on its way to an outlet mall when the tread on one of the tires allegedly separated, causing the vehicle to roll over several times. The case was filed in the 78th Texas District Court in Wichita Falls. The case is set to go to trial Oct. 21.
