PITTSFIELD, Mass. (July 29)—Thermoplastics producer GE Plastics and elastomeric materials supplier GLS Corp. said they will collaborate on the development of soft-touch thermoplastic/elastomeric systems. The two aim to develop compatible grades of engineering thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers for use in co-molding applications. The firms will focus on combinations of GLS's specialty elastomers, molded over GE Plastics' substrates, to be marketed under the "Softfx" brand name
