NOTTINGHAM, England (July 29)—Taiwan's Cheng Shin Co. Ltd. is expanding its Tianjian, China, motorcycle and bicycle tire factory, spending $520,000 alone on new mixing room equipment, according to BMH Chronos Richardson Weighing & Batching Systems Group, the supplier of the equipment. The project includes equipment for weighing and feeding of carbon black and white fillers, polymers and oils, for a masterbatch compounding line, BMH Chronos Richardson said. The Nottingham-based firm also is supplying a system for weighing polymers and oils on a final mix compounding line. Both lines include a CR 3000 Process Control System. Earlier this year, Cheng Shin-Toyo Tire and Rubber (China) gave BMH Chronos Richardson a contract valued at over $1.14 million for equipment for its Kunshan City, China, tire plant.
