HILLSDALE, Mich. (July 1)—Eagle-Picher Automotive, part of Eagle-Picher Industries Inc., has named James Anderson as vice president of operations of its Hillsdale Division. Anderson will oversee all manufacturing operations for the unit's 12 facilities in the U.S., Mexico and the United Kingdom. Anderson joins Eagle-Picher from Collins & Aikman Corp., where he was vice president of global manufacturing operations for the specialty products group. He also has held senior operations positions with Textron, AutoAlliance International and General Motors Corp. The Hillsdale Division manufactures precision machined components and assemblies for engine, transmission, axle/driveline and chassis/suspension systems, backed by custom rubber compounding and manufacturing capabilities. Headquartered in Inkster, Mich., Eagle-Picher Automotive also includes Wolverine Gasket Division in Michigan; Eagle-Picher Hillsdale Ltd. in the U.K.; Eagle-Picher Automotive GmbH and Eagle-Picher Wolverine GmbH in Germany; and Eagle-Picher Far East in Japan.
