DuPont Dow Elastomers has introduced five new grades of polyolefin elastomers, giving customers new application options, particularly for automotive thermoplastic olefin, wire and cable, and extrusion profiles. The new grades of Engage-brand elastomers, based on ethylene butene, complement the range of existing ethylene octene products and are designed to offer an improved balance of properties including processability, impact properties and higher melt strength for the targeted applications, the company said. The new Engage grades also are designed to fill value and performance gaps vs. the broad range of existing elastomeric materials.
