LEMFORDE, Germany (June 13)—BASF A.G.'s Elastogran GmbH subsidiary is transferring its polyurethanes machinery business to Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik GmbH and plans to close its site in Schwarzheide, Germany. The moves are part of a reorganization of Elastogran's PU systems and basic products business, the company said. Under a cooperation deal, Krauss-Maffei will employ all Elastogran employees affected by the transfer at its Munich-Allach, Germany, site. The Elastogran machinery unit employs around 50 at two German sites. Elastogran's PU processing customers will benefit from Krauss-Maffei and the two long-standing Elastogran cooperation partners, Heidel GmbH in and Siempelkamp Handling Systeme GmbH, the BASF unit said. The PU metering equipment unit is no longer regarded as a core business, Elastogran said.
