WASHINGTON (June 3)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association's General Products Group has cut annual dues by as much as $1,000 for smaller non-tire rubber companies in an effort to get 25 new members. Firms with sales of $10 million or less can now join the GPG for $3,000 yearly, as opposed to $2,000 plus a percentage of each $1 million in sales, according to GPG Vice President Kevin Ott. The organization plans to contact more than 200 rubber manufacturers this summer, with suppliers and machinery makers on the list to contact later, Ott said.
