Goldsmith & Eggleton Inc. has two new additions to its butyl product line: G&E Blended Polyisobutylene and G&E Blended Halogenated Butyl. The polyisobutylene is a combination of selected feedstocks to achieve a uniform molecular weight. Available in several molecular weight grades, the material can be used in sealants and adhesives, sound deadening and vibration damping, and polymer modification applications. Blended halogenated butyl offers a uniform Mooney and percent halogen content, making it useful in non-cured tapes, caulks, sound deadening, vibration damping and general sealants and adhesives, the company said.
