OKLAHOMA CITY (May 24)—Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating signed a bill May 23 that will help fund planned expansions at two tire-making facilities in the state. More than $41 million will aid Goodyear in its $250 million, two-phase expansion in Lawton/Fort Sill and Michelin North America Inc. for a $56 million expansion in Ardmore. Comanche County voters in March approved $3 million in local funding for the Goodyear project. Groundbreaking for the Goodyear expansion is planned for June 1.
