WASHINGTON (April 30)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association's General Products Group has released its "2002 GPG Industry Practices and Performance Survey," a benchmarking study of the molded and extruded rubber products industry based on a survey of companies active in those manufacturing disciplines. The new report compares 2001 data with the results of a 1999 survey, highlighting trends in the labor market, providing insight into industry expectations for economic conditions and data on worker safety, research and development, e-business, customer relations, overseas trade and other topics. The 120-page report is based on a 70-question survey of 45 member and non-member companies, the RMA said.
