A fluoroelastomer-sealing compound developed by Pelmor Laboratories Inc. is formulated to withstand heat and corrosive effects of high temperature steam applications. By adding DuPont Dow Elastomers L.L.C.´s Viton GF terpolymer to the compound, Pelmor chemists developed a compound with properties that are suited for high temperature applications, like steam trap seals, steam valve seals, and static and dynamic sealing components, the firm said.
