LISLE, Ill. (March 22)—EMNS and Goodyear announced March 18 they have renewed a five-year agreement for the Lisle-based firm to provide a supplier quality management service for the Akron tire maker. Under their contract, Goodyear uses EMNS´s global suppler quality-assurance service at 80 of its global manufacturing facilities. The GSQA program provides quality assurance, purchasing and production personnel with real-time supplier material quality data from its more than 1,600 worldwide direct material suppliers. The GSQA system collects, stores and analyzes data associated with each direct material shipment Goodyear receives and also supports the tire maker´s lean manufacturing and quality initiatives by providing quality performance to its plants, engineering, corporate quality and purchasing organizations, EMNS said.
