NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. (Feb. 25)—The Nebraska State Fire Marshal's office is still waiting on a metallurgist's report to rule on the cause of a tire fire that caused extensive damage to EnTire Recycling Inc., a Nebraska City cryogenic tire grinding firm. That report should confirm investigators' suspicions, said Fire Marshal Ken Winters, but he added, "We expected to hear from them by now." The fire, which blazed from Jan. 23 to Feb. 3 at the EnTire facility, destroyed a building and two tire storage silos; sent 13 firefighters to the hospital; and caused a 27-block area in Nebraska City to be evacuated.
