LAKE MARY, Fla. (Feb. 20)—BarrierMed Inc. said it expects to receive a $4.5 million contract to produce medical gloves for 24 New England hospitals and medical centers once a product trial is completed by a large group-purchasing company that supplies the hospitals, according to Victor Ragucci, BarrierMed founder and CEO. The Lake Mary-based maker of latex-free, powder-free surgical and examination gloves said that if the group approves the order, BarrierMed could be expected to supply as many as 240,000 pairs of gloves.
