CARY, N.C. (Feb. 8)—Lord Corp.'s Mechanical Products Division has landed a contract to design, qualify and supply isolators, yokes and associated hardware for the engine attachment system for Dassault Aviation's Falcon 7X Program, a new breed of business jets. Lord was selected by Pratt & Whiney Canada Corp., which is responsible for the propulsion system on the aircraft. The contract represents the entire engine attachment system, from engine to airframe, which includes responsibility for mitigating cabin noise, according to the company. The jet is being manufactured in France and is the beginning of a new family of Dassault aircraft, Lord said.
