NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (Feb. 7)—Plaintiffs' attorneys who negotiated a class-action settlement with Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. expect the presiding judge to issue her final ruling on the agreement in about a month. Allan Kanner and John Keefe Jr. filed their rebuttals to the briefs of the objectors—including Public Citizen and several opposing plaintiffs' attorneys—Feb. 6, a week after Judge Marina Corodemus of the New Jersey Superior Court heard arguments for and against the settlement. "We believe this is a good, historic settlement, and the objectors haven't raised any issues to change that," Keefe said in a news release.
