WHITTIER, Calif. (Feb. 5)—Santa Fe Rubber Products Inc. will expand its manufacturing and sales base with the acquisition of new equipment and the addition of a key member of the firm's management team. After surviving a tough 2001, Santa Fe rebounded quickly in January and registered the fifth-largest month in bookings in the company's 35-year history, according to William Krames, owner and president of the Whittier-based firm. The new business has prompted Santa Fe to purchase two injection molding machines and consider the purchase of other equipment.
