PRAGUE, Czech Republic (Feb. 4)—Japan's Toyoda Gosei Co. Ltd. is planning to make automotive weatherstripping products in the Czech Republic as part of a $15 million to $20 million investment at a facility opened last year to produce automotive air bags. Toyoda Gosei anticipates employing about 400 at a new sealing products unit at the Klasterec site, according to CzechInvest, a government inward investment agency. Toyoda also will expand air bag production there, tripling the size of the existing work force to 300, it added. Toyoda Gosei's total investment in the Czech Republic should reach $40 million over three years, according to Bob Frelich, project manager at CzechInvest.
