MIDDLETON, England (Jan. 29)—Custom compounder British Vita P.L.C. has acquired Nolato Elastoteknik A.B., a Swedish thermoplastic elastomer compounder, for $7 million. Based at Nolato about 95 miles northeast of Gothenburg, Sweden, the firm last year posted operating profits of $770,300 on sales of $8.4 million. The business employs 34 and specializes in medical, electronics and automotive markets, according to Vita. Nolato "is complementary to our existing U.K. business and gives us a superb range of products for both the injection molding and extrusion industries, building on our existing industrial brand, Vitaprene," Vita Director Calvin O'Connor said in a prepared statement.
