WEATHERFORD, Texas (Jan. 29)—Jamak Healthcare Technologies, a division of Jamak Fabrication Inc., will invest $2 million in the firm to expand its manufacturing capabilities and add new liquid injection molding processing equipment to boost its liquid silicone rubber goods sector significantly. The machinery will be added in the first half of 2002 but Jamak Healthcare will not have to expand its silicone product manufacturing facilities located in Weatherford and Manchester, England. Together, the sites have about 275,000 square feet. Jamak Healthcare is beefing up the firm's LIM capacity because liquid silicone rubber has seen double-digit growth globally during the past few years, said Mike Hyer, vice president of the division. Industry reports indicate that trend is expected to continue, with the health care product industry accounting for the largest share of that growth in the U.S., he said.
