NEW YORK (Jan. 22)—Standard & Poor's lowered Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s long-term corporate credit and senior unsecured debt ratings from "BBB+" to "BBB" and removed the company from CreditWatch with negative implications Jan. 15. The credit ratings agency said it believes difficult industry conditions will prevent Cooper from achieving the improvement in financial measures factored into previous ratings.
