NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone/Firestone Americas Holding Inc. has made several management changes within its manufacturing arm, Bridgestone/Firestone North America Tire L.L.C., and its Quality Assurance organization.
Stephen W. Brooks was promoted to vice president of quality assurance, replacing Robert J. Wyant, who is retiring but will remain with the company as a consultant. Brooks has served as plant manager at Bridgestone/Firestone´s Aiken County, S.C., factory since 2000. He joined Bridgestone/Firestone in 1989, and has been division manager for production control and information services and operations division manager at the Warren County, Tenn., plant, and Aiken general manager.
Kazz Nishigai, manager at the tire maker´s Warren County truck and bus tire manufacturing facility, will replace Harry McMillan as manager of the firm´s Wilson, N.C., tire plant March 1. Nishigai joined Bridgestone Corp. in Japan in 1975 and has held various manufacturing positions since then. McMillan will retire but continue with Bridgestone/Firestone as a consultant.
Dennis Ringgenberg, manager of Bridgestone/Firestone´s Decatur, Ill., facility, will replace Nishigai as manager of the Warren County factory. Ringgenberg has more than 30 years experience.
Michael R. Rose, group leader at the Aiken facility who has been with the company since 1972, was named general manager of the South Carolina operation.
