CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (Jan. 9)—Polyurethane processing equipment maker Linden Industries Inc./EMB has formed an alliance with Heidel North America Inc. of Novi, Mich., to offer engineering support to suppliers of PU and RIM automotive parts in North America. Heidel, the U.S. subsidiary of Germany's Heidel GmbH & Co. K.G., designs and manufactures tooling and machinery for non-metallic lining and functional automotive parts. The partnership offers a cost-effective alternative to multiple vendors, according to the companies. By taking full responsibility for projects "the potential for integration problems is eliminated as well as the cost of managing multiple vendors," they claim. Linden/EMB makes polyurethane processing systems and auxiliary equipment including control systems and mixheads.
