HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 19)—TG North America Corp. has begun construction of a second Kentucky plant to produce automotive sealing systems for Toyoda and other North American car makers. The 175,000-sq.-ft. operation, its third in the U.S., will create 152 jobs and cost the Japanese supplier $9 million. By 2005, TGNA expects to have doubled its body sealing business, President Atsunori Murata said in 2000. Construction of the new plant follows an expansion TGNA undertook at its Petrolia, Ontario, plant to begin body sealing production in July.
