ANTRIM, Northern Ireland (Dec. 11)—The Schrader Electronics unit of Tomkins P.L.C. has won a new contract to supply its Gen II tire pressure monitoring sensor for General Motors Corp. light truck platforms in the U.S. and for several cars and sport utility vehicles produced in Europe and Asia under the Fiat, Opel, Subaru and Isuzu brands for sale in the U.S. While not disclosing the exact value of the contract, Carl E. Wacker, worldwide manager of sales and marketing for Schrader Electronics, said Reuters reports valuing the pact at about $72 million annually are in the ballpark. Schrader Electronics each year is more than doubling its sales of the remote devices, which utilize rubber valve stems produced by sister division Schrader-Bridgeport International Inc., Wacker said.
