TRELLEBORG, Sweden (Nov. 6)—Hans Porat, Trelleborg A.B. deputy CEO and vice president responsible for business development, will leave the Swedish rubber processor in spring 2002 to become president of a Japanese trading company. Porat joined Trelleborg in late 1996 as president of the rubber products business, succeeding Fredrik Arp, who later rejoined Trelleborg. Porat will work for Gadelius, a firm that trades in machinery, equipment and products for a wide range of sectors, including building materials and components, environmental protection, packaging and disaster control. Porat will not be severing all ties with Trelleborg, since Gadelius sells some of Trelleborg's products in Japan.
