DUSSELDORF, Germany (Oct. 30)—Attendance for the sprawling K 2001 plastic and rubber trade show are down 12 percent from the 1998 event at the exhibition's halfway point. Through Oct. 25-28, the Dusseldorf show had about 118,000 visitors, compared with 135,000 for the first half of the last exhibition, according to the show's organizer, Messe Dusseldorf GmbH. North American participation at the eight-day show has been about half of the 1998 number.
