CLEVELAND (Oct. 22)—Rubber chemicals producer Flexsys N.V. will start trial runs of Crystex insoluble sulfur next month at its newest plant in Kuantan, Malaysia. The site, operating as Flexsys Chemicals (M) Sdn. Bhd., is the company's first production operation in Southeast Asia, and will serve as a base for growth throughout the Pacific Rim, the firm said. The company declined to divulge capacity or investment information. Construction on the plant began in the second half of 1999.
