SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (Oct. 15)—Federal-Mogul Corp. said it has been awarded four contracts worth a combined $20 million annually to supply powertrain and brake components to domestic auto makers and Tier 1 suppliers. The new business comes since Federal-Mogul filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Oct. 1 to separate its core business from crushing asbestos litigation costs. Included in the new contracts is one with a domestic car company for powertrain seals, a Federal-Mogul spokesman confirmed. He declined to give the contract's worth.
