DEXTER, Mich. (Oct. 10)—Sam M. Jyawook, ex-president of the former Thona Corp., has formed an automotive body sealing company, Jyco Sealing Technologies. The manufacturer is starting development work at its Dexter headquarters for domestic and transplant auto makers, Jyawook said. Jyco's operations are structured around state-of-the art thermoplastic vulcanizate processing equipment and foaming technologies rather than EPDM. The company is finalizing construction plans for plants at two undisclosed locations in Canada and the Northeast region of the U.S. Production at both will begin by the end of 2002, Jyawook said, creating about 50 jobs to facilitate the company's highly automated processes.
