HOUSTON (Oct. 4)—The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers has published its 22nd edition of "Worldwide Rubber Statistics," a comprehensive source of data about synthetic and natural rubber. The 110-page book contains newly revised data from Russia and all Chinese SR plants, according to Britt Theismann, IISRP director of statistical information. Among the other information included in the 2001 edition are: world production and consumption of elastomers; a five-year forecast of future consumption and analysis of capacity by elastomer type, geographical distribution and corporate ownership; capacities of SR production facilities; planned and announced expansions of SR plants; and information about motor vehicles and tires in major countries and regions of the world.
