GLEN ELLYN, Ill. (Sept. 28)—The Polyurethane Manufacturers Association has added another level to the organization's self-certification program, designed to demonstrate industry initiative to regulatory bodies. Under the new program, called Level II: Compliance, participants must demonstrate protection of people, employee monitoring, protection of the environment, community relations and management. A number of compliance options are available within several categories of Level II, including participation in PMA, Environment Protection Agency and Occupational Safety Heath Administration offerings. The PMA also offers Level I: Commitment, which teaches participants how to meet minimum existing regulations. Self-certification is available to PMA members only.
