BALTIMORE (Sept. 20)—Finzer Roller Inc. finalized its acquisition of Atlantic Roller Inc. Aug. 29, giving the rubber roller manufacturer a fifth production site and a new northern East Coast presence. Finzer, headquartered in Chicago suburb Des Plaines, Ill., saw Baltimore as a good base from which to serve customers in areas like Maryland, New Jersey and New York, said company President Tom Ryan. Atlantic also is a profitable business with a 25,000-sq.-ft. building and 15-20 employees. All the Baltimore employees will be retained, though John Baldwin, former Atlantic owner and president, won't be an active part of the operation.
