NEW YORK (Sept. 11)—All natural rubber trading was suspended "from the get-go" this morning in the wake of two airplanes crashing into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, causing the buildings to burn and later collapse. "We talked to traders at (Alan) Grant and Alcan (Rubber & Chemical Co.)," said a NR trading industry source who requested anonymity. "Their offices are in the neighborhood of the World Trade Center, and they were getting out after the first plane went in." Cargill, another major trader, also is located in the area.
