LAKE MARY, Fla. (Sept. 4)—BarrierMed Inc. will soon launch production of a new line of latex-free, powder-free, non-allergenic medical gloves. The Lake Mary-based firm signed a deal with Abbott Laboratories in Ashland, Ohio, to manufacture about 250,000 pairs, according to Victor Ragucci, founder and CEO of the company. Production is expected to start within a week. The new line, called BarrierPlus Go, is made from a water-based formula, he said.
