PARIS (Aug. 23)—Modifications to the Concorde including new radials and aramid-reinforced fluoroelastomer fuel tank liners have been approved and should clear the way for the supersonic aircraft´s return to service soon. The Anglo-French Concorde Working Group OK´d the safety changes to the Concorde, which is expected to have its certificate of airworthiness restored by next week. Groupe Michelin developed the new tires.
