ASHEBORO, N.C. (Aug. 9)—Goodyear has entered into a marketing agreement with Atlanta-based agency Dan River Inc. for promotion of the tire maker's hose wire produced at its Asheboro, N.C., facility, the company announced Aug. 9. The wire plant began making and selling hose wire in 2000's third quarter. Recent capacity and capability expansions have enabled the factory to produce all grades of hose wire, from normal to high tensile, the firm said. The Asheboro site also manufactures steel tire cord for medium truck radial and earthmover tire lines.
