AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (Aug. 7)—Michelin-brand tires led the pack in customer satisfaction among replacement tire buyers, while Les Schwab Tire Centers rated highest in customer satisfaction among tire retailers, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2001 Replacement Tire and Retailer Customer Satisfaction Study. Michelin has led the J.D. Power customer satisfaction study seven years in a row, noted Jeff Zupancic, director of the marketing information services company's tire practice. "Michelin maintains its market-leading replacement tire satisfaction position by best meeting the needs and expectations of its customers," Zupancic said in a news release. As for Prineville, Ore.-based Les Schwab, its "ability to consistently deliver on the personnel and service factors, the largest contributing customer-driven factors to retailer satisfaction, fuels their leading performance and their ability to retain customers."
