WAYNE, Pa. (Aug. 3)—Global neutral marketplace Elemica has acquired ElastomerSolutions, Elemica announced. The agreement, made for undisclosed terms, makes six ElastomerSolutions founders new members of Elemica, the first group of firms to join Elemica since the initial 22 that founded the chemicals exchange. The acquisition brings Elemica's technology infrastructure, which includes ERP connectivity, multi-supplier storefronts and supply chain and logistics solutions, to the first new vertical market segment beyond its initial focus in chemicals, Elemica said. Joining the marketplace as existing members of ElastomerSolutions are Cabot Corp, Uniroyal Chemical, DuPont Dow Elastomers, Flexsys, PolyOne Corp. and Zeon Chemicals. Bayer Corp. and DSM, two ElastomerSolutions founders, already are members of Elemica.
