BRUSSELS, Belgium (July 31)—Covisint L.L.C., the online automotive marketplace under development by six auto makers, got the go-ahead from the European Commission today. The commission said it had concluded, after a seven-month investigation, that the exchange is open to all companies in the industry, but does not restrict competition. DaimlerChrysler A.G., Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., Nissan Corp., PSA Peugot Citroen Group and Renault S.A. are partners in the joint venture company which saw clearance from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and Germany's antitrust agency last fall.
