MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. (July 18)—Premier Rubber Co. Inc., a supplier of retread buffings and buffing dust to the rubber recycling industry, said it plans to sue LandStar Inc. for non-payment of debt. Massapequa-based Premier has been waiting for payment on about $30,368 worth of unscreened buffings delivered to LandStar's Chambersburg, Pa., plant last January, according to Premier Vice President Gene Walker, who provided an invoice of the sale. "I've been working with them the best I can," Walker said. "I want to collect my debt, that's all I'm looking for." Dan McVicker, Landstar executive vice president, expressed surprise at the news about the suit. "We've got a number of material suppliers, and I don't even know if he's one of them," he said.
