ST. LOUIS (July 18)—Reed Rubber Co. has purchased and moved into a 103,000-sq.-ft. facility, virtually doubling its size, in St. Louis. The gasket and seal producer recently moved from a 53,000-sq.-ft. building five miles away. It also added some equipment. While some of the new space is being used for manufacturing, the majority is for warehousing of finished goods and raw materials "because our customers want us to stock the products," according to Nelson Reed, co-president of the company.
