MASSILLON, Ohio (July 12)—Ansell Healthcare Inc. will close and possibly sell its Massillon Perry plant by October or September. Officials at Ansell's headquarters in Red Banks, N.J., confirmed the shutdown will occur in the nest few months but did not name the firms with which it is negotiating. The condom and glove maker is a subsidiary of Australia-based Pacific Dunlop Ltd. About 100 jobs will be eliminated at the 192,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility. The factory makes latex powdered and powder-free, synthetic and polyurethane gloves. That production is expected to be shifted to Ansell's plants in Malaysia and India.
