AKRON—Goodyear has realigned managers in its European operations, Engineered Products hose and sales businesses and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe.
Michael J. Roney is president of the European Union business unit, replacing Sylvain G. Valensi.
A 20-year Goodyear veteran, Roney was president of the company´s Eastern Europe, Africa and Middle East business unit. Jarro F. Kaplan succeeds Roney.
With the tire maker since 1969, Kaplan previously served as managing director of Goodyear Germany.
Goodyear Engineered Products named Bob Pettibone general manager for its hose business. He joined Goodyear in 1967 and held various sales and marketing posts before being named general sales manager for the division in 1996.
Jerry Kennedy, former Atlantic region manager for Goodyear´s industrial products business, succeeds Pettibone.
Jim Hill fills the new post of U.S. sales manager for industrial products. He previously was marketing manager for transportation replacement products.
Guy Enta, sales manager of industrial products for the firm´s central Canadian region, also will be Canadian sales manager for industrial products.
Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe appointed three group managing directors for operations in Europe.
Valensi was named group managing director for French operations; Marco V. Molinari is group managing director for United Kingdom operations; and Gerd Gruenenwald is group managing director for German operations.
The managing directors are responsible for the Goodyear and Dunlop brands in each of the three countries as well as the Fulda brand in Germany.
