WASHINGTON (June 14)—Firestone ATX and Wilderness AT tires had 167 tread separations on vehicles other than Ford Explorers, Ford Motor Co. told the "Wall Street Journal" in an article that appeared in the paper's online edition. This latest exchange of accusations between Ford and Bridgestone/Firestone portends still more fireworks when Ford CEO Jacques Nasser and Bridgestone/Firestone CEO John T. Lampe testify June 19 before a joint hearing of two House Energy and Commerce subcommittees.
