ELGIN, Ill. (June 12)—Parker Hannifin Corp.'s Engineered Polymer Systems division has constructed a 54,000-sq.-ft. plant to keep pace with its growing sealing products operation. The new site in Elgin, which was built for an undisclosed amount, is about eight miles from its former manufacturing facility in Pingree Grove, Ill., and will house its Chicago Operations Business unit, a company spokesman said. About 110 are employed at the plant. The division's headquarters will remain in Salt Lake City. The business unit specializes in the manufacture of polytetrafluoroethylene sealing products used in industrial, aerospace, energy, oil and gas, medical, automotive and other applications.
