FULLERTON, Calif. (June 8)—Yokohama Tire Corp. has followed the lead of six competitors and is raising tire prices. The U.S. arm of Japan´s Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. said it will hike prices on July 1 for all its consumer and commercial tires 5 percent. "The increase is in line with those recently announced by other tire manufacturers," the company said in a press release. In the latest round of increases, the six other tire makers hiked prices in the 3-5 percent range.
