CHOMUTOV, Czech Republic (June 8)—Parker Hannifin Corp. this week unveiled its new plant in Central Europe, a 100,000-sq.-ft. facility which initially will "incubate" nine of Parker's independent divisions as they begin operations in the region. The divisions will share common services, such as logistics, tooling, quality control and human resources, at the $10 million facility that was spearheaded by Parker's Hose Division. The unit, which began operations in the Czech Republic in 1997, will produce hydraulic hose, couplings and fitting for automotive, construction and transportation applications.
